What internals to rev to 7K safely?
What internals to rev to 7K safely? I'm in the planning stage of my build, and would like to know what parts I will need to replace to safely rev to 7000 (will be a procharger build). I know I'll need a forged bottom end, so please feel free to throw those parts that I'll need in so I can have a complete recipe.
Many people spin to 7k with stock internals along with new rod bolts (Katech and ARP).
These are good things to have if you want to spin high, along with proper valvetrain geometry.
- since your redoing your bottom end, everything needs to be balanced
- rod bolts
- light valves
- titanium retainers
- make sure your rockers and lifters are in good condition, or replace with new/aftermarket pieces

This is just me, but if I were building a FI engine, I'd keep the RPM's relatively low...say 6300-6500 RPM's. You're already stressing the engine by boosting it, why stress it even more with unecessary RPM's?? Blowers are torque producers, use that to your advantage.
