Brian...

Valve drop is valve drop....a pretty straightfoward measurement (just a little tricky to be dead nuts accurate). First you claim the TFS head has .160 (@ 64 cc's which would equal .172 @ 66 cc's to be fair), now you claim it's .220
Not to mention provided info on our heads that wasn't very accurate.

Which one is it, because your initial post certainly started the confusion.

At some point in the future I will have a TFS head in hand and will check it out for myself. It certainly makes sense the flatter valve angle could have more but the info you have provided is confusing.

Anyway, back to AFR business....will check in at some point later

Tony

One thing that has sadly changed since I made this thread.......my poor 10 bolt I am afraid is on it's way out. I have been driving it easily here lately to preserve it til the new STRONG rear is here to take it's place. With that said, I will be using the money that WAS going for the heads, to purchase a new rear instead.

Yeah I know, I should have been getting a new rear first before making the big power, but it's hard to put money into something that is fine....or was. While it's not gone, it's beginning to make some creaking, and I think the posi unit is hurt.

One good thing though, is I will still be getting heads, but not at the same time as the cam, so this info will definately be used, just not right now unfortunately
I got the car up in the air tonite and went over everything with a fine tooth comb. What I had been hearing and feeling wound up being the bolts that attach the torque arm to the rear had loosened up some. I tightened them up and now everything feels/sounds perfect again!

So now I am back on track with getting heads along with a cam

We have a couple 62cc 205 heads in stock, not sure if that TSP cam will require some flycutting, but you will get your compression up and with the added .040 head gaskets, the quench will be better as well. I would also Talk to Either Tony or I about some cam selections as well. We have a few grinds that work realy well with this head combo.
