yup definatly what he said. You have weaker rod bolts than newer models, So I would replace those. Better to be safe than sorry. and also get the ported oil pump.
I just rolled over 100k, and I decided I will be doing a cam swap this fall with the Torquer 2. I wouldn't worry about the rod bolts. Many people with cammed LT1's spin theirs upwards of 7000, and those motors hold up fine having not been apart. LS1's have a stronger bottom end, so as long as yours is in good shape, don't worry about it. The fastest cam only M6 car in the country is a 99 with a T-Rex cam from Thunderracing. However, I will be replacing the lifters as I intend to go with PRC dual springs. You might want to consider doing that.Jason
