My last LS1 (1999) I shifted at 7000/7100 regularly, for the near 2 years the Trex was in, Comp 921 springs, Ti retainers & hardened pushrods. Not one issue

I've been spinning mine to 6800-6900 for the past 4 or so years.

From the SpinTron data I have... Stock Rockers, stock pushrods, Upgraded Springs (Beehives and Duals), Mild .600 lift Cam, stock heads and ET LS7 Heads.

Everything looks really good up to 7000 RPM, Starts going away at 7500 RPM, at 8000 RPM there is significant valve bounce and spring surge, at 9000 RPM the rockers spit all thier needle bearings and the tops of the guides broke off.

When I have some free time I want to put a combo together that has good valvetrain dynamics at 9000 RPM.

I spun mine to 7000 . But I would bet the avg persons car is not making any power up there. it would have to be a well put togeather top end to need 7K.

97-00 I tend to think of 6,500 as the limit, I'm willing to push with the stock rod bolt. With after market rod bolts 7000.

My car is a 99 and I shift ~6,300. Rev limiter set at 6,800.

01 and up with the better rod bolt, 6800. With aftermarket bolts 7000.

Ha! That's crazy.

Was this with stock lifters and rod bolts?
