stock ls1 w/ 1.82 rockers

if i install the 1.82 on my stock 98 ls1 will i have to change the springs??

Yes you should. Back when I had a completly stock long block I had major valve float with HS 1.8s. Even after I got it straightend out, the car picked up nothing in the 1/4 mile and I ended up selling them.
