i have a set of patriot performance gold valve springs, and i was wondering if i need everything that come with the kit or could i just use the spring and retainers with all the other stock locks and all that. also if not does patriot sell the valve spring kit with out the springs?

 

Upgrading locks is a good idea in my opinion. Metal fatigue/possibility of damage is an issue after so long and it's cheap insurance.

 

you have to use the locks that come with the kit, the stock locks are too small and will not fit.

 

im gonna have to get a hold of patriot and see if i can get some. i missplaced them some how.

 

I lost the last lock when I did my cam swap, put the lock in and it shot somewhere in the yard, had to next day air some to the house, that sucked.

 

no, replace it all with upgraded parts as well
