Engine noise after a night @ the track
Distinctively on the passenger side bank is where the noise is at. At idle, almost no noise, but after coming down from a rev (big or small), I hear what sounds like a rapid puff-of-air sound. Its almost like an air-whirrling sound, like what you would imagine a piston would sound like moving up & down. While driving, only under a load, I hear a loud rapid puffing sound, the same one from under the hood at idle, only much much louder. But this dissipates once at a steady cruise. I've checked any vacuum connections I could find, as well as plug wires and for any kind of exhaust leaks with no success. The car still feels like it has good power and response, no codes either. Any ideas? Hope I am explaining this well enough.
Sounds like you may have taken out a gasket.
I think of it were more internal, you would get some type of code...
Check for any exhast leaks............
Sounds like you just have a torn gasket. My KooKs were installed with the right torque spec and I can still hear a little puff puff sound when I drive by a brick wall with the windows down.
I think that you will need a new header gasket if you unbolt your headers. Might be a good idea anyway since you over-torqued them anyway.

Likewise, my Lt1 tends to loosen up stock bolts after a while, and they are a PITA to tighten, especially hot or when I can't find the modified closed end wrench I made... so locking bolts might be an idea too.
LS1, the factory MLS gaskets are pretty good.
