Default Sales/Techline help opportunity at AFR....

Mod's....if you could be gracious enough to let this post "air" here for a few days it would be much appreciated (obviously its not tech in nature but I was looking to reach a larger audience). If this post has to be moved I understand.

AFR is looking for a motivated gear head....preferably one with phone and sales abilities, to help out in the Sales & Techical Department. Previous experience in this industry is not mandatory...we are willing to train the right person who has decent tech knowledge, speaks intelligently, and has a genuine passion for what we do. (Prior experience and all the above is obviously a plus). We are located in the San Fernando Valley about 25 miles north of LA. You must physically be here....we don't have out of state reps or anythng along those lines.

The job pays salary plus a small commission....30-35K your first year is practically guaranteed....a motivated hard worker that enjoys his job (helping people make power) can easily exceed 50K in a few years time.

Anyone interested should contact me directly to potentially set-up an interview and stop by. If you've been dreaming about making money in an industry you are actually passionate about here's your chance.

You can contact me either by email or phone. My direct line is (818)890-0616 Ext. 109, or email me at "tony@airflowresearch.com"

Look foward to hearing from you.....

Thanks,
Tony Mamo

I guess it can slide.
You know that this thread will get junked up with questions really fast though. I am willing to bet that it turns into a debate.

No debates...LOL (what's to debate??)

And questions are probably better handled one on one. Also, obviously we are only looking for people who are seriously considering making a move.....no tire kickers....

I nominate PatrickG, but I'm sure he has a good job already. Sounds like a great oppurtunity for someone, it won't last long.

Pat already works here....don't you know?

And BTW, we would consider helping someone relocate....but that person would have to be tailer made for the job so to speak and not need a lot of training. Someone thats been in sales, perhaps in this industry, has a great attitude, and has a good understanding of engines and what we do. We would have to be much more selective to protect everyone's interest in that situation (its not good for us or the person who relocates if things don't work out). Its not out of the question is the point I am trying to make.

Thanks for the recommendation. This job is a perfect opportunity for a young up-and-comer, not a 40-something guy with a 5 bedroom house and 4 kids to take care of. I'm sure Tony will find many qualified candidates on this board.

We can debate the value of a superior out of state worker that uses a remote call forwarding line to be in contact.

Does the worker get 'demo' heads to drive back and forth to work with?

Wow, that'd be a fun job! If you guys had a branch here in my area I'd be all over it. Good luck in your search though. AFR is synonomous with the best heads out there for domestic cars, and I'm sure you'll end up with someone who knows their stuff.

I'm talking my wife into it. I'm 33, no kids, and she's dying to get to warmer weather. Not to mention, I could use the employee discount.
