The B1 cam would idle better in an A4 car than the TR 220 wouldn't it? both being 114lsa

Both cams make similar power.

So what happened here? What did you wind up going with?

I just went with a TR220.. haven't installed it yet.. bought it though... with the 918's... I figure changing them every 20K with the way i treat the car.. I heard changing plugs was a bigger headache than springs...

Supposedly no real hardship to do, so you might wanna consider that.

I went with the Comp XER 228/224 and put 406 RWHP down. Great daily driver and strip cam.

I dont know if there is a difference in the TR 224 and the CC 224 .581, but I have the later and wow...... try to go from a 20 or so roll on the street with reg. radials, , I like it alot, and am on STOCK heads. no new numbers of any sort yet, just waiting for more money to buy a new rear and tranny. but go for one of the 224 cams, get it tuned, and I promise you will like it.
