more bad news, when installing new metal header gaskets, the one header bolt broke inside

so now i cant go for the cam only list, and i didnt make it onto the SI list soo its kinda a bummer. im not gonna take the heads off again to stay cam only, unless a great deal falls in my lap.

but i guess the good news is that im going to get 243 castings and port them and have a H/C setup now.

Is that the excuse you're telling your wife, instead of just re-tapping?

 

I would go with a different set of heads but either way you should fly! That stock internal time is insane!

 

im on the fence, my buddy wants to re tap them,and i was thinking either going w/ stock 241s or going ported 243s. ugh not sure yet lol
