Tha should fit, why not ask patriot? I'd guess with the heads you would be around 450rwhp seeing you have a 9" with 4.56 gears.

Low, haha. I daily drive this car and I take turns in third gear at 15-20mph. I'm usually cruising around @ 1500rpms. I've driven it at 1200rpms though in 6th @ 40mph and it's not to bad.

Actually, now that I think about it, the cut out was opened, and the thing they put in the tail pipe may have not been reading it right, since the most of the exhaust was exiting before the tailpipes.

Does it feel weak at all down low? Maybe a bad word, but you know what I mean. I'm trying to research for a cam that'll pull strong down low as well. Also, it your car a street car or a drag racer?

Why. With tuning a 228 should be every bit as drivable as the 224.

This is not a cam for you if you are wanting a car that is strong down low and up top. Something more like a 224/224 .581/.581 110+4 lsa would be good for you. Mine is a street car for me but probably wouldn't be defined as that to many.

Mine has a lot of part throttle tuning in its history. It drives very well, it has some power down low, but it really wakes up at 4-4.5 k

Finished installing my PRC heads and TRak cam. This car sounds ******* good! It's now startig to idle on it's own, but it's pig rich. I can't wait to have it tuned.

were the valves stock or after market? any milling on the heads? what head gasket did you use? and did you check p2v, just wondering on an idea of how close it would be.

Thanks, Matt

I would also like to know why you miss the 224/224. I also have the 224/224 on a 114 lsa and was thinking about going bigger. Thanks

I don't think so. I'm going today to get it tuned, but I doubt it will get on the dyno unless I can work a deal for like one pull for $20. They charge $100 an hour for dyno time and the last time I was on there for 15 minutes and got charged $100, so I don't want that to happen again, especially if I'm doing heads in the future.

Quoted for truth...

On one of my recent visits to Thunder they had 2 cars there with the TRAK Cam. One was a C5 vette, and the other a F-body. Geoff had just finished up with the vette and that thing idled great; extremely smooth for that huge cam. On the other hand, the f-body would barley idle becuase it was untuned. Cold start was a pita, but got better once the car warmed up. Then it sounded bad ***. The idle quality btwn the f-body and vette was definately noticable. You definatley wouldn't think it was the same cam.
