The only reasonable people there are on the engine builder's help line. The consumer line, with few exceptions, is weak.

You might try asking to talk to a specailist in LSK lobe custom cams.

Pretty sad really...
That's funny. I like TSP better they know they're ****. I just called and told me every cam that wouldn't fit with my 0.030 milled 5.3L heads and suggest a 224/224 .581/.581 110 XE-R. I'm definitely going to purchase now. They have great customer service IMO.

I tried a few months ago. The comp rep assured me that he knew their ramps and denied that LSK ramps would work on an LS1.

Order from sponsors like Thunder and LS1 Speed who install the product every day if you want something that works.

Awesome man, we look forward to talking with you!!

We have excellent prices on cam packages and can include everything down to the bolts and gaskets to complete the install. We can grind any cam for the same cam package pricing available for our own cams. If anyone has any questions or needs help on choosing the right cam for your setup, or just needs pricing then feel free to let me know!! I promise, none of our cams will "warp your heads or crack your block" !!

It like going to a heart specialist to ask questions about your brain tumor, and then saying, he should know, he's a doctor.

Exactly. These guys answer the phone and have no idea whether they're talking to a guy who's been building motors for 30 years and builds all his own custom stuff, or some guy who decided he's going to build a 10-second LS1 in his back yard and doesn't know a rear end gear from a coil pack. With a few exceptions, they're not going to give you something that has a good chance of breaking stuff if you don't know what you're doing. There are a few guys on the line that know their LS1s, some guys know the Ford motors, some Mopar, some even import...it just depends on who you talk to. They stay fairly well-informed for the most part, but they're human just like you and me, they can't know everything. Plus, if you've ever been on any sort of tech support line, you know that 99 out of 100 of the people you talk to seem like they have the IQ of a mayonnaise jar. Not saying that anyone here would sound like that, but they go into every call assuming they're talking to a moron...you have to. I've been on computer tech lines before, it's the same basic premise.

Call and ask for Brian Pitcher...I personally trust him with all LS1-related stuff, and he gave the okay for me to drop his name here if you want to get in touch with him.
