Ok guys you all know the texas speed 4 camshaft here are the specs anyway it is a 239/242 and .649/.609 lift with a 112 lsa but i have stock heads and stock intake(but maybe an ls6 soon) will it be too much for my car? for now? and another question the RPM range on the cam is 2300RPM to 6500RPM and im wanting to get a torque converter to match this cam yall think like a 3500 or lower?
4000 and above is probably reccommended on the stall converter, and the cam fits under stock heads without any PTV clearance issues. You might want to look into a LS6 intake though, the car would make a good amount more power with one of those instead of the LS1 intake.
i dunno man, that ms4 is a damn big cam!! i go with something like the torquer v.2. if your car isnt a daily driver and is all out for the track, then go for it. but i would probably run a 4k stall for sure.

im only 18 but im learning very quickly. but i did find a yank 3800 for $450 used with 3500 miles on it so maybe i need to ook into that. i will most likely buy the package from TSP with the cam valve S. and pushrods for the $799 beginning of september. and are cams difficult to install?? Hey man, im only 20 so im not much older then you, dont worry about it youll learn quickly. They arent too hard, installation is pretty straight forward. Although if its your first one itll take awhile, just from inexperience. I think the most annoying thing about it is installing the Valve springs, that takes about 2 hours in itself. Go to ls1howto.com, there should be a pretty in depth guide to installing a cam on there.
