Cam Install... Hey guys I know push rods and timing set and springs are recommended but when buying the timing chain do I just need to buy the chain or should I buy the whole set? let me know thanks...
I'm thnking I'm going with the ls2 chain...so let me know what I need to do...cam specs...231/237 .598/.598 111+1

With an 99 I would also change the Oil Pump.

i was thinking the same thing, my cams a 114+4, i need an adjustable timing set to advance it +4 or is it already ground in and i just can upgrade the chain also?
It's already ground into the cam. Otherwise it would just be a 114lsa. Anything +x degrees is already ground into the cam. The reason you would need an adjustable if it was 114+2 and you wanted it +4. Then you just advance it 2*.

Oil Pump:
LS6 Oil Pump
Timing Chain:
LS2 Timing Chain
Push Rods:
chromoly 7.400 (stock length)
Exhaust:
Hooker LTs, and magnaflow true duals.
Cam :
230/236 .598/.598 111 lsa
