Default problem with K&N filter, Fitting loose

Anybody had this problem? I had a K&N in my WS6 and the filter was not tight in the air box. I could reach in through the holes and push up on it. I thought maybe the foam strip was gone that sticks on the underside of the lid but it is there. It is part#33-2118 so it should be the correct one. HELP!

What holes are you reaching in through?

take off the lid put some grease on the rubber of the filter put the lid back on then take it off and see if there is grease on the lid from contacting the filter top. i can push up on mine too but i know its making contact with out pushing up.

I am sure mine isn't sealing because I can watch the filter and open the throttle hard and see the filter suck up against the lid. Could I be missing part of the air box assembly?
