I would definitely shop around. For 20k you should be able to get the same motor plus a lot of extras like built rear, new clutch to hold the power, wider rims to keep it on the ground, hell you could probably even afford the C6 Z06 rear body panels with the money you would save. You could really set the car up nice for 20k. Then again if money isn't an issue and you have another 10k to dump into it go with the LPE package.

Well, you got MTI, Cartek at the least. Believe Thunder has a warranty, too. It's pretty much the norm at the large, well established shops. Of course for all of them they have to do the install if you want a warranty.

A car done up by LPE will have higher resale... bottom line

so yeah he may loose some money but then again he could prolly get it right back if he sells it later on

It's all relative, LPE cars take a big percentage hit on mods like the others they just start out more expensive. I'm talking about sale prices, not the asking prices you see on LPE's site that are there for months without selling.

First, where are you located?
Second, what are your expectations?
Third, what is your budget?
Street, race, custom on the motor, suspension, drivetrain, aero?
Fourth, what is your time frame?

I know most of the great vendors personally and have bought parts from many of them over the last twelve years. I would be happy to give you three names in close proximity too you and companies that have experience with the type of build you are looking for.

He stated already that he's in Dallas, Texas.

I would take it to LG Motorsports in DFW, and see what they say. Then I would call Kaltech and see what they say. Might also think about MTI since they are in Houston. There are some other shops around the DFW area that are not sponsers here, so they can not be talked about, BUT they are worth checking out.

Call some shops and ask around. Personally I would find someone to do a pair of turbos on that C6. A strong 427 with decent twin turbos would out run about 95% of what you see on the road everyday.

Coming from you those three names would probably be...Manny, Moe and Jack.....or Larry, Curly and Moe....

Still in the country Brent, despite your threats
