Cam or Cams

Hey
I got a friend that has been telling me that i need more than one camshafts...is this true, and i so do you buy the separate or they come with a cam kit

there is only 1 cam in the LS1.

lol your friend must own a cobra and be clueless and ignorant about others cars. ls1's only have one cam.

I think a DOHC LS1 with rev happy cams, an 8,000rpm redline, and the biggest stall and gears you could handle would be a blast though!

haha that's funny you say that, last week when i was putting my new cam in, and my neighbor down the road walked up and picked up my old thunder cam and said "wheres the other one at...is it out yet?"

haha he works for ford and has 2 stangs....silly mustang owners hahaha

i can tell you there's only 1 cam in my car....maybe i did get an oddball though??!!!

1 cam. It's in the center of the block in an OHV (overhead valve engine) as opposed to SOHC or DOHC (single and double overhead cam, respectively) which has the cam/cams in the heads
