RP for over 80k miles now, in eng/trans/rear. 5w-30 in engine, changed every 3k.

royal purple all around here too. after switching from m1, my engine is quieter and carries about 5 more pounds of oil pressure

Again, depends....I see no need for oil with a big flashy name complete with a big flashy price tag. If you change your oil regularly (i.e. every 3,000mi) then you could use K-Mart oil if you wanted. Ive seen many a motor guts in my day. I have seen no difference in those using pricey synthetics and those with dino oil changed at regular intervals. But, to each his own.

I run Mobil 1 10W/30 last year and after having it tested by Blackstone Labs they told me I could rum at least to 2500 miles. These are all track miles and they are rough miles. Redline or brake nothing else. I went to 15/40 this year.

last weekend at the local pep boys rp was alil more then gc like 40 cents .. so i got the proven performer for me rp. got a case of it so i got 2 oil changes on storage for whenever i wanna change the oil. also always got a few filters ready. who calls .40 cents a major jump in price? can hardly buy gum for that... the m1 was more then either of the oils.. of course at pep boys the rp was alot cheaper then the first time i got rp at over 2 bucks more a bottle from a speed shop/gas station. my first swap to rp is still in my car at over 3k miles still holding the same pressure as the day i put it in, although my cars getting its new cam in soon as im done dissasembling and cleaning my engine.. so i cant test it as far as i wanted, but still longer then m1 ever lasted for me.
