cam, and springs?

I recently purchased a comp cams cam, and springs. The cam is a 222/224 .566/.568 It came with 915 springs. Do I need 918's? Also, if you have any advise on which tool to use on the lifters, that would help too.

New/Used? Good little cam...you'll enjoy it. 918's would be my choice.

You should be fine with those springs as long as you don't plan on sending it to 7k rpms.

Wooden dowel 5/16" about 2 feet long works nicely to hold the lifters up. Or brake line.

I know someone running Z06 springs with that cam, so you should be fine.

ya, I saw the jpr tool, I wanted to know how to make it, if that's all it is, then I will be going to home depot in the morning. I am tired of this cam just sitting here.
