Until I see some track times out of the MS4, I like the Trex!

I DD my Trex everywhere and it is just as driveable as the last cam I had which was a 224 the only thing that I do diffrently is on a cold start it has to warm up for about 2 min. other than that it is just as drivable as a mild cam and it produces a **** load of power. I cant stand all the people who put up posts saying how it is such a pain in the *** to DD a rex when they dont even have the cam in their car. That is like me talking about how a car with a blower in it drives when I dont have a blower in my car.

I think it's hilarious how LS1techers bandwagon when new cams come out. There are facts out there that the original poster needs to use to decide. I am a TSP fan, and buy almost all LSx parts through them. Regardless, I run a Trex cam in my car for one reason: It's proven. The MS4 seems like a incredible cam, and looks to be in the competitive ranks of a Trex or the G5X4, but until i see some guys run comprable times at the track(where it matters) i will stay with my Trex...Dyno numbers are only as good as the paper they are printed on. Timeslips and mph at the track don't lie though....

If you're into the track, at this time, i'd go with a Trex.

it's funny to see all of these [insert random cam] vs. t-rex.

which cam has the cam only record? as far as idle is concerned, for those of you who know nothing of cams, except that you want one with a SUPERKEWLBADASS idle y0...

25* overlap > 17.5* overlap.

/thread.

How can you compare an unproven cam to one that is the proven cam-only king? This is funny that it's even an issue. Much less winning. You KNOW that 90% of the MS4 votes don't even have either, and are probably basing it off the LS1 posting/advertising by TSP instead of real-world results. Lemmings.

last week i was on my way to install MS3 in my buddy's 01 SS but instead of that I sold it to get The MS4 & i wish it's here to be installed so we could proof which one is better in performance wise (Dyno numbers & ET times) i've seen many LS1's with T-Rex and so far that stick out performed all of them

peace

What cam and nitrous shot is that?

My 3380lb C5 with a 275/17 drag radial TSP LS6/MS4 and a tnt 100 shot (first time at the track) went 11.4 at 128.8 then 11.1 at 129.4 with a 1.8 60'. Is it the best time ever? No there are much better, but hey give me some time and a 6 point

My Trex has TONS of power and torque under the curve. I was so surprised when I dyno'd it and drove it after the tune. Before the tune there was nothing under 5k. Now it feels better than the stock cam everywhere at 2k+.

Post your graph for us. Or email it to me. I'd love to see how your graph looks compared to others. I mean, other Trex owners pretty much admit they've got very little under the curve. So yours would be great to show how it can really be done. I wanna see your torque curve.

Here is the thread I posted about it. You have to know Mustang dynos to apreciate the numbers. Post 6 has the charts. Also for some reason the print outs read a lower weather correction factor than when the pull was made. It actually made 390/374. Looks like I have well over 300ftlbs at 3k if you trace the curve back. Since these pulls I have shimmed the springs, I have a ported TB coming and I will be installing a short belt. I may dyno these new mods on a dynojet this weekend to see it I was able to get more revs out of it. For a T-Rex it peaks WAY early.

Yeah that's WAY too early. I'm shocked that your HP was so low. Your torque numbers are impressive for a Trex. If you could hold that power out some, you'd make great HP. Wonder why it won't spin to 7000-7200 like it should for max power?

Like I was saying in that thread, I think it was float. I am hoping I fixed it by shimming the valve springs.
