rpm range How can you tell what rpm range a cam will be best in? What i mean is: off idle to 5800 rpm is it's power band or.... 1800-6500 rpm power band. how can you tell?

A cam's performance is just as dependant on the other engine components as it is dependant on the profiles of the cam.
A cam has to be mated to an engine.
Your best bet is to do some searching in the archives on this site. There are many many many dyno posts of cams. This will give you a great picture of what you can expect from the exact cam that you are planning on, or a similar one.
