Will the car still turn over if the security light stays on (VATS is activated)?

Haven't read the thread but to your question...

When I had a VATS problem the car did not turn over...it acted as if you didn't push the clutch down when trying to start...No turning...Like if you didn't have a starter...

well udate: the car started.. i called the guy who 1st build my motor brian at LME and i told him the symptons and he asked me what cam i now had.. i told him it was a futral cam and he said that maybe the cam was 180 off.. he said that they had a similar problem before on a car that had a futral cam and didnt know what was wrong, they tore apart the engine and when they looked at the cam they saw that in the back of the cam where it has its reluctor part it was 180 off. he told me it was an easy fix to just splice the A and C wire that plug into the cam sensor and the car will start.. well i did it and guess what it started in the 1st time.. my question is does futral know that some of their cams have this problem.. i cant believe almost a 1-1/2 months and because an error like that i was about to tear apart the cam guessing it was my reluctor wheel, and also the time that the shop that i send the car to spend double checking all the fuses and other little things suggested.. well now it starts but i cant see RPM'S gueges move, i guess its because i switched the wires..
