Default ET Performance 11 degree 240cc results

We only have a handful of passes on the car and we're very confident that it has more in it. Here's the setup:
1999 Corvette 6 speed
~3300lbs normal full weight car
346cid forged bottom beefed up parts for nitrous
ET 240cc 11 degree heads
Comp Cams 254/260 cam
90mm combo
LG 1 3/4" Long tubes(coming out for 1 7/8")

DA': 1850'

We made a couple of passes and had a problem with the line lock best pass was:
1.69 60'(left soft we can usually pull 1.40-1.45)
10.89 @ 129
A/F: 12.9
Timing: 23-24 degrees(we pulled 4 degrees from the previous run and shouldn't have)

We think it should go 133-134mph on the motor alone when the cold weather gets here. It would be interesting to see the car setup for just the motor, the rear and tire size are setup to trap 153-157 for nitrous.

Sweet runs !! Are you sure you want to swap out those LG Pro Long Tubes?? Why don't you call Lou Giglotti and ask him what he thinks about that idea. The numbers in my sig. Killer 60' time, and 133-134 motor only rocks. Nitrous 153-157 mph you better hold on!!!

I hope I can trap around 125 mph with my setup on a set of borrowed Mickey Thompsons. Not sure which ones, but he says they spin slightly then hook like crazy, so I am going to try them out. New starter goes in tonight.

Good luck on your run into the 150's !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks man, I've talked to a couple of people and design wise the LGs are not the optimal choice for my setup. I need a 1 7/8" 27.5-28" setup.

What kind of numbers o0n the dyno did you get, and where did she peak rpm wise? Nice times. I`m hoping for mid 10`s and then low 10`s with spray on mine! I do love these ET 245`s! They flow sweet on my 408! I will have times by the end of next month!!

Do you mind telling us a little more about the set up? Valve size, compression? Seems to be running good.

It peaks just shy of 7000 and peak torque hits about 5700 or so. The 245s are going to be a great compliment to your 408.

Sounds like the setup s performing pretty good, get the car back where it was hook wise and it should really fly!

We've only made a handful of passes in the car. There is really nothing to getting it to hook, good burnout and leave HARD. I won't start leaning on the launch until I am confortable with the shift points and the tuning. No sense in trying to make a full pass until everything is where it needs to be. We shifted it @ 7400 on the last round of passes, going to try 7000 and 7800.
