59cc or 64cc
which Patriot stage 2 heads 59cc or 64cc? also which valve 2.02 or 2.055? what gasket and pushrods should i use can u still run 93 octane with no problem wiht the 64cc. this will be goign on wiht a g5x1 cam later upgrading to the x2 or x3 cam.
Whi go X1>X2>X3? are you writing a comparison?
Just go X3 from the biguinning.
IMO go with the Patriot Stage 1 243 casting LS2 head (same as LS6) and put in a X3 on a 114 with stock gasket.
Or do the same but put in a 112, flycut your pistons and run a thinner gasket, for better DCR.

I have a lot of friends who have run both the X2 and the X3 cams. They all say the X2 was a much better cam. They might've gained 6 peak hp, but lost hp/torque throughout the curve.

If it were me I would only want to do this once and do it right the first time.
You have 410 gears which will work great with the X3 and it seems like this is where you want to end up. I would sell the X1, buy an X3, get the 243's at 59cc's and flycut your pistons and call it a day. You can get pushrod lengths from LG since they have done many of these setups or you can measure.

I have the stage II's 59cc with 2.055/1.57 valves, stock head gasket and about .583 lift with 1.8 rockers....no PTV issues and runs fine on 93 octane...no knocking issues yet...a lot of it depends on the tune as well....just thinking out loud....

I guess my point is that lift DOES matter. A cam with 0.00" lift would never have issues. And we can go from there. I wasn't saying it's important, just that it's got some small factor. Otherwise we'd all run 1.8 rocker arms, wouldn't we?
No it is a NEGLIGEABLE factor.
1.8 ratios are good band aids for low lift cams to push the valve further while opening, thus allowing more intake charge and therefore more powerful charge bang, translating in more power.
However agressive ramp rates tend to accentuate more valve float in those conditions due to the arc motion of the rocker (not being able to keep the lifter on the cam lobe)
To make this simple to understand, max lift occurs at BDC and not close to TDC where PTV becomes an issue (15*>10* before and after while valves start opening)
That is why high durations open valves a lot sooner and where we get problemas. The issues are at the VE,s IVO and EVC from TDC.
