A4s are not dyno queens but with heads you can get in the 400 rwhp/39x trq.
with proper suspension and tires you could hit mid 11's though.

well i voted 228/232. i love mine on a 112+4 and really think the 110+1 or +2 would be ideal. the 224 is a great street cam just a little too mild for me.

lifts can be tailored in a certain range (of course to a certain degree, lobe allowing)

The tr224 is the best street cam. You go past 224 duration and your pushing your powerband up the rpm's. Its a good track cam as well. We have guys over here cam only that went 12.1 and 11.47 (maybe n2o). The 228 you have listed will produce good numbers but your not going to have it off idle. I'd say you'll feel the kick starting around 3000 rpms or so. Thats when it will really start to pull. My tr224 pulls at 1800 rpms but you feel the real power around 2500 rpms. Big duration means latent power.
Messing with the lsa and icl to adjust is the powerband is just that. Tryin to make a big duration cam more streetable. 228 is not a huge duration but its more than a 224 and I know when that thing kicks I've had one for a few years now.

Post your graph. Lets see your powerband and where it lies on the RPM chart.

Any chance we can see that chart with SAE corrected numbers?

It's the only one they gave, but I'll have them email me the pre-corrected numbers to see if we can come up with SAE. Not that it matters much. I've got the motor out and a new setup going on. LOL!

I am running the 228/232 558/592 110+1 w/ AFR 205's milled .0020. Damn this is one great cam. It feels like stock with an extra 100 HP's and 80 more ftlbs.
I initally installed it dot-to-dot and got very good results. I went in last weekend and installed an adjustable timing chain and advanced it 4*. I picked up 13RWTQ and 8RWHP's throughout the powerband. Finished off at 435.7 / 409.9 through my slipping clutch. VERY VERY PLEASED!!!!

I have the TR224 cam and it is a great street cam. Does not have really any lope at all after tuning. I did seem to loose some low ent TQ, but after 3k the car really wakes up. I put down 382rwhp & 366rwtq.

What other mods do you have? LT's? Intake? I'm going with that same cam for my PRC ported LS6 heads along with LG Street headers, Vararam, Borla Stingers and I'm looking forward to similar #'s.

a 227/231 110+2 on lsk lobes is the same as a 228/232 110+2 on xer lobes

does the smaller duration hurt the lsk lobes

and is 110+2 still ideal for that duration with lsk lobes?

I use Redline fuel injector cleaner once in a while, works good. that and a nice shot of nitrous and voila

A good street stall is VIG 3200, i've had mine for 2 years now with countless passes and high heat environment and 3 motors.

cam is up to you, this thread mentions 228/232 on a 110+2 which is a really good street cam. (one of mmy favorites)
G5X1 is good too as is the TSP 228R

how would you compare the 228/232 110+2 vs the TSP 228R 112+2 (i'm assuming +2 since the cam has 110 ICL) in terms of HP/TQ powerband??

Thanks buddy. What springs are you running? Is a 3500/3.23 combo enough for this cam?

you are welcome, man!
that's why we are here. i ask lots of questions! lol
don't know much about stalls, but it sounds about right,
the gears, though, hmmm...
i have 3.46, and the reason why i changed to this cam from the torquer 2 is b/c this last one needed gears.
i don't think my cam will need shorter gears than the 3.46s i have.
maybe the gurus can chime in about the gears. but, you might be pushing it,
hopefully not.

hope this helped.
