I cant believe this discussion is still going on. Its simple. Where do you want you power to kick in? You want it later or sooner? For a street car I dont see anything beyond a 224 duration being an advantage on the street. You pushing your power further up the rpm cycle. Plain and simple. You can try all you want to retard it a little but in the end it is what it is. Mid range to top end power. Now there isnt a huge difference between 224 and 228 but it will move the power band slightly upward.

This user asked specificaly for power under the curve. The TR224 is the best cam on the planet at producung power under the curve and its well documented.

No other 224 cam is as good as the Thunder Racing due to TR's proprietary lobes. In short the TR224 acts bigger than it is. IF you want maximum power under the curve I would go with a TR224 or Patricks 224/228 cam.

+1 on that, but there hasn't been any discussion since 11/23 until you posted

228/232 110+1 is only an 'area under the curve' cam, if you just removed an MS3 or TRex. 224/224 112 can do it all reasonably well with excellent around town manners. It might even pass emissions with a spot on tune, but I know it does on a 114.

Will this cam work with 2.73 gears the reason I dont want to change my gears its because it all ready pulls hard in the midrange, when I stomp it at 35-40 mph the tires will still spin alot a little, and they are C5 18' wheels

I just ordered a 228/232 110+1 through thunder. They're putting it on the cam doctor for me before shipping it out. From what I understand, if it checks out ok I do not need an adjustable timing chain correct? The ls2 chain will suffice?

yes the LS2 timing chain is fine, just line it up dot to dot and spin the engine over by hand a few times and make sure the dots still line up. You may also want to install an LS6 oil pump while you're at it.
