Question about Lingenfelter GT1 cam I was wondering how good the LPE GT1 cam is compared to the tr224 and other cams.

Re: Question about Lingenfelter GT1 cam I think all that extra exhaust duration was probably added by LPE assuming that the stock exhaust manifold and cats are being used. I'm sure Ed P. can explain their strategy.
With a free flowing exhaust (headers plus either ORP or high flow cats) less exhaust duration and more intake will produce more power and have a comparable or better idle. Thus I would run the TR 224 114 or similar grind.

Re: Question about Lingenfelter GT1 cam Any more input on this??? I am also interested as I will, at least initally, be running F-Body exhaust manifolds on my engine. BTW, they have it on sale for $299.

Re: Question about Lingenfelter GT1 cam I initially requested that cam with my H/C install but it was frowned upon by the sales guy at LPE <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> . According to him, the idle characteristics were less than satisfactory and therefore wasn't a recommended choice. Can't be worse than some of these HUGE bumpsticks some are putting in their cars though <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> .

Re: Question about Lingenfelter GT1 cam That cam was initially designed for our engine packages that retain the stock manifolds. It was a little lopey for our conservative tastes idle wise, but compared to some of the stuff members are using it's kind of tame. It's a good caam for a H&C package, and you can expect about 430 hp (flywheel) but you will need some tuning changes.
