Default 500ci LS1 and LS6

I was reading car craft magazine and saw alittle feature on deck plates. I wish I thought of that. I heard earlier they were getting 500ci from a LS1 or LS6 block. Now I know how they are getting there. The plates are flat and match the top of the cylinder deck on any LS1 or LS6. They slide on exactly like a head. The decks can be extended 1/2" to allow a larger crank with longer rods. It's alot easier to extend the stroke than larger bores I guess, but they are going larger there with the plates too. This is pretty much doing it safely.
