i do care about the performance part of it also
thats y i am getting a cam, stall, and bolt ons
but being that this car is going 2 be more of a show car than a race car im a lil more worried about the sound
does it look like im going 2 be racing this car

If all you are worried about is sound, just pull your #7 plug wire and adjust the idle speed to where it barely doesnt die. That will give you that rough idle a lot quicker and cheaper than a cam swap.

But, just so this post isn't completely worthless to you, here is a link to a video of my car. It has a TR 230/236, longtubes, hollowed out cats on a QTP Y, and a Hooker catback. The hooker catback sounds aweful in my opinion, so it could sound much better with a different muffler. Still, you should get some idea of how it idles.

If by "mean" you mean the choppy idle then you want something with a lot of overlap. Go to the video section and search for trex or ms3. I think they have pretty damn choppy idles.

im disapointed in the way some reacted to this post. what is this car that we all bought? it looks good. performs good. and was cheap (compared to other options) this guy is more concerned with the cosmetic aspect of his car then the way it performs. some like to build it to the hilt and tear the hell out of it at the track, some just want a pimp car to look cool it ... all he is doing is stretching what he likes in a car. why are some of yall not driving a 5.0 mustang which can be had for 1/4 the price and you know is faster??? i bet it was because that your f-body looked better.... damn shame shame shame for caring about cosmetics.... a cam is a damn cam. ive had a big cam and ive had that hot cam crap... they all will run... some dont sound as good as others, and well some just dont perform as well. why not pick what you like and run with it?

And, no, I don't like that picture. In my opinion, it proves that what you've done to that car is just... wrong. But, that's just my opinion.

I was all ready to defend you until that pic.
You car looks good and it's obvious you've put a lot into it. I just don't get the spark thing. I laugh my *** off at the guys doing that at the local hangout.
Not to be harsh, and I know its off topic but those tail lights are hideous. Its a custom show car but the stockers look a lot cleaner imo. Those lights ruin any car they're installed on...they remind me of the flea market.

really this is my wifes car
i dont like the tail lights also but she wanted them because her stock one were damaged
but im thinking about shaven the lights
i just lost alot of respect 4 most of you F-body guys

Alot of guys on this board are hard core racers so to put pics of your slammed Camaro with euro's shooting sparks, is gonna get you some bashing. Personally i think slammed f-bodies look sexy but i would never do it to mine. But i have to agree that the tail lights look like complete *** but other than that, it looks nice and will look better when you repaint it. And as far as your question, the nastiest cam i've heard is a Trex, but it's a pretty big cam and isn't gonna be what you're looking for. If i was you i'd get a smaller cam that's still on a 110 LSA so it'll lope really nasty like the Trex
