Mike, you did not like what, were the R's collapsing? I sent you a pm, I am working through some valvetrain issues right now.

Tell tale sign of a Morel is the oil band is inverted from the bottom to the top. The band is also relocated on the body to provide proper oil metering to the the engine.

I have the Comp R's as well and have not had any problems.

Why are the Morels better? Just asking for my own benefit.

Morel was asked by several cam companies to design an aftermarket lifter for this engine platform. Relocation of the oil band was critical because aftermarket core supply for the LS1 engine includes 6 different base circle sizes and depending on the cam profile this could cause oiling issues.

The lifter is 100% USA made it is not a reboxed OEM production piece nor an imported piece.

Tolerances and manufacturing quality allow this lifter to rev higher in the rpms and run longer in the rpms without pumping up. This will result in more power.

The lifter is fully rebuildable. So after the initial purchase you have bought your last set of LS1 lifters.

the new gm lifter is alright , i have the new lifter, its the one they run in the ct-v r's, but you have to remember they rev 8000 rpm, but they have ti vlaves, and other very trick valvetrain parts. with stainless valves you are going to be hard pressed to rev it past 7200 rpm.
