Question Stock crank

'98 z-28 - Doing a rebuild (motor spun rod bearing) and wondering to what horsepower a stock crank with rod journals turned 30 under should be trusted. At this point I'm assuming my crank's mains will clean up at 10 under. My rods will be replaced with Eagle or Scat H-beams and pistons replaced with some sort of forged piston. I've already purchased a high pressure oil pump and a double roller timing chain, as well as LG Motorsports G5x4 cam kit (cam, double valve springs, tit. retainers, pushrods). I haven't done alot of research on here as to what horsepower I'll end up with after getting long tubes, ls6 ported heads or something equivalent, and a decent manifold (whether that be ls6 or the fast intake) but I'm guessing at least 425rwhp?.?.? (I may throw a 100shot on top of that at some point.) Will that stock crank work or is it foolish not to just bite the bullet and upgrade cranks while I'm that deep in the motor? And any input on my current cam kit performance as well as rotating component selection and other parts I should replace while I'm reassembling (like an upgraded balancer or flywheel) would be greatly appreciated.
I'm not on a huge budget but I also don't want a 500 hp motor that I'm worried might break some weak part when I hit the power button.

Ok. Thanks for the input. It's good to know that even with a 500hp fogger system i shouldn't have any problems out of the crank.

to my knowledge nobody has broken a crank on an LS1. there are some guys running crazy setups on stock LS1 cranks.

Out of curiosity, what kind of sounds was it making with the spun bearing? What else led you to find out that you had spun a bearing?

It was making a knocking thrashing noise from inside (not to mention the oil pressure was at 0). I bought it this way for pretty cheap and figured it was a broke rod bouncing around and beating the inside of the block. I pulled the motor and pulled a rod cap and found the bearings had spun and were paper thin which had alowed that one piston to travel up a little further and hit the head a little (which was the knocking noise). A spun bearing will usually result in loss of oil pressure.

CARTEK build a TT Corvette [Paul Z.] a couple of years back with a stock block and stock crank that out down 1016-RWHP

So figure 1150 to 1200HP at the crank? Motor never had so much as a hick-up in 2+ years of racing and going 8's.
