Default Short Blocks?

Ok, we have a spare stock ls1 that is NOT assembled. We were going to build it, but to buy forged parts and to assemble it costs as much if not more than a short block. I was thinking about buying a 347 shortblock for my 99. I'm looking for some recomendations as far as brands, internals, and sellers. I don't want a 402 or 408. 383 would be as big as I would go, but I'm heading more towards a stock displacement.

Call up spome of the sponsors and they can help with exactly what you want. Low compression high compression. Just because something is cheap doesn't mean that is is very good.

I would call up TSP, W2W to name a few.

If you want to get rid of your shortblock give me a pm.

We can build a 347 cid short-block to suit. We have quite a few on the shelf ready to ship using both Mahle -4cc flat-top and Diamond Racing -2cc flat-top pistons. We have them built with the Scat H-beam connecting rods, both with the standard 8740 ARP bolts and the upgraded ARP 2000 bolts. Pricing starts at $2,789.

Feel free to give us a call or or shoot me an e-mail at trevor@texas-speed.com. I'll be more than happy to answer any questions that you may have!

Where are you at? Speed Inc. did mine. Larry worked with me on every detail to make sure I got what was needed.

I'm in Aiken, SC. I helped a friend of mine finish assembling and install his 402 LS2 into his camaro. It was a texas speed short block. I would have to say that I was very impressed. Looking like it will be a texas speed 347.
