they checked today and 7.4s were way off. i dont think the g5x3 isnt that old of a cam. the cam i have is close to it but was made before the x3 came out. i am very disappointed in comp cams tech service. the guy i talked to was a ******** and wasnt very helpful.

just curious... Why can't you reuse the stock crank bolt?

It is TTY (torque To yield). The threads stretch out. Not enough for your eye to catch though. It can cause your balancer to back out unplanned.

If I were you, I would get your hands on a push rod length checker tool thingy. Since you are combining milled heads with a smaller base circle, one may not quite compensate for the other to bring it back to 7.4".
It sounds like it'll be a beast when you're done. Post up some ### when you get them!

BTW, is that cam meant for boost?

Checking push rod length is mandatory.
