Installing Valve Springs
ok so im pretty set on installing the new camshaft but the only thing im worried about is the valve springs.
Im putting in a TR 224 cam, so i only need single valve springs right?
Also how hard is it to put the vavle springs in?

I personally would just go with the double springs in case someday you want a cam with more lift you already have the dual springs. Springs are quite fun to put in. I bought the Thunder Racing spring compressor tool and it worked GREAT! I highly reccomend getting it. Read as much as you can and there is a great article/install guide I used on ls1howto.com I practically went step by step from their guide and I bought the tools they recomended.

The Crane/Vinci valve spring tool is a great tool, and Vinci has it discounted on their web specials. It will do both springs at the same time, and is set up so you can do it easily by feel for the back two cylinders on an f-body.
As for what you need, depends on what springs you are putting in and what year the car is. If you are switching to duals, you will need to remove the stock seat or the seal/seat depending on year and as a result new seals will be required.

alright, so swithcing the springs isn't impossibly hard...sounds good,
I have a 2000 Formula, and i do think i'll put in dual springs...they wont effect a smaller cam at all will they?

No they won't effect a smaller cam and like I said earlier, if you decide that that TR224 is too small you'll be able to put in a bigger cam and not have to worry about changing springs again.
