Default Need input on my stroker rebuild (want reliability)

well guys and gals here is goes, I bought a motor off the board a two years ago.... supposedly a 427.... Well I got the unit in the car and it never made much power at all and was pulled to get checked out.
well just call the call from the machine shop and the found the unit to be a 423 All the rod bearings were beat to **** also about to spin
4.125 stroke lunati crank
Lunati probillet rods
4.040 bore.....
well it seems as it the mains need line honed as they are not straight, the bore is out of round horribly and will have to go .060 over....
My question is should I just look for another 6.0 block and try to maintain a smaller bore or can a 6.0 be take to .060 and live a long happy life and live with some juice thrown at it...
I would like to still road trip this unit and drive it almost every day in the summer time if possible...

So my extremly expensive 427 is now a broken 423 that needs a ton of parts and I am stuck in a real rut....

What pistons do you recommend should I punch it out or take it down a notch????????????
Any input would be awesome and thanks ahead of time.

as low as iron blocks cost these days i would probably get another block and punch it out.your block needs to be checked to see if it will go .060 over and even if it can line boring will cost you and the smaller bore will be alittle stronger to help stay round for a better seal and more rigid when you spray.

Get a new block and punch it out.

423 vs. 427 there really won't be a difference from displacement only. I say get a used 6.0L block and put your 4.040 pistons back in it.

I think that may be the plan, I guess we need to check the pistons and see if they are even savable, from what the machine shop tells me they think this motor was bored minus a deck plate.... I don't even want to talk about how much I have into this turd and it's all wrong.... I think in the future I will just have one built vs. ever buying somones elses mistake.... Now the pistons are expensive if they need replaced due to a custom application. this sucks
