i would stick with a small runner head with that size of a cam to keep velocity high, maybe 215 or less.if funds allow it is hard to beat the numbers the afr 205,tfs 215, etp 215 or prc200 puts up.alot of the ported stockers have large runners that are alittle sluggish with a small cam,of course some combos are more efficient than others.

If you are going to spend some money do it right. I would suggest the TFS 215's. I like the 13.5° angle on those heads as well as the 80cc exh. runners. $2300.00 is rough though.

We have our LS6 stage 1s that do well. We also have the Terminator heads with a 200cc runner and the new 5.3 port coming that has a 220 cc runner. Just depends on what you want and what kind of budget you're on. Give us a call and we'll be more than happy to help you out or answer any questions!

its nice this cat showed up^^^ i was trying to remember who TSP's guy was...i pulled the 5.3 and ls6 info off that site...and the afr stuff off thunders...id like to stay withn the 2k price range, just because of the rear end and tranny work ill be doing is gonna cost me enough anyway....im looking to achieve between 400-450 to the wheels after H/C, full bolt-ons, and the tune...have the bolt ons and H/C at least done by the end of the year....and i WONT be upgrading the cam anymore after the 224/224...so i was also wondering what springs would go with that...the ls6 springs or the comps?

thanks for the input to guys

5.3's should put you close to 11:1 depending on how they're finished. The 918's from Comp is probably the spring you'll want to run.
