5.3 with a 4" stroke?

Has any one built a serious 5.3 iron block with a 4" stroker crank? Im asking because its what i have right now. Has anyone gone to a 4" bore on the iron 5.3? Any experience with block filler on the Gen 3's? Hope im in the right area, if not please excuse the error, im new to the board

you would have less money in buying a new LQ4 block for $500 than to have your block all prepared for a 4 inch crank

Thats what i was thinking. havent priced one yet, it that right from GM? This is gonna be a bracket race motor on Alky. Thought by boring out the 5.3 it might give me thicker walls for 13+ compression.

Does anyone know what the bore limitation is on a 5.3? Can they be bored to a 4.030"+, or do they have the same bore limits as a LS1 block?

Also, has anyone had the 5.3 block sonic checked? Wall thickness spec? I priced a 6.0 block and a 6.2 block. $700 for the 6.0 and $1320 for the 6.2 block. I work for a GM dealer, seems kinda high?
