simply bigcam, good flowing heads, sheetmetal and fast90/90 combo and finally high compression.

I would say a set of pretty good heads cam and full bolt ons. It will get you close but its hard with stock bottom end but there are a lot of peaple out there doing it but they have some wild set. Good Luck Friend

To the wheels?
all the bolt ons (ewp, ported fast 90)
High end heads
medium to big cam
gotta make sure to keep the compression high also.

Obviosly there's a lot more to it, but you need to do a lot of research and figure out what you want.

Go ahead and call a sponsor if you don't want to do the research, they'll be more than happy to set you up. Be prepared to drop a lot of $$$.

get a set of tfs or afr heads, milled down to get 8.8 dcr or so if you can get 93octane fuel, fast 90/90,something like the t2=232/234 or something slightly bigger like a 234/238 or so and 450 +should be no problem through the stock rear through an m6.i hit 436 through a hooker catback with a set of tea 1.5s and a little 228r so with a cutout it would have easily been in the 44x range.

A really good cam/heads package. It is also possible to achieve 450 hp with a cam-only if you select the right one.

Rare cases do you see this on a 346. Mainly on ultra R&D'd shop cars.

Yep, if you have 243's and an LS6 intake, a wild cam will get you much closer to 450rwhp than a plain LS1 motor with LS1 intake and 853's.

From what I have seen/heard, you can get damn close to 450rwhp with some good ported heads (Texas Speed/PRC 243's $1100), a medium/wild cam (228/232 or larger with at least 590 lift), and an LS6 intake and longtubes.

I'm having a 228/232 with ported PRC heads and LS6 intake going in my 1997 C5 next week so I can post #'s in the next week or two with the results after tuning.
