Anyone regret getting a cam?

If it's your first cammed car it will be an eye opening experience, heh. The car will be a totally different animal - new noises/sounds, different drivability and behaviors - but a good tuner can make even a large cam drive like stock. A big cam with a bad tune can really make driving it a PITA.
Idling A4's are a little more sensitive to large cams than M6 cars are, due to the A4 fluid coupling providing resistance against the drivetrain, which takes more effort to idle. (With the clutch in or in neutral a M6 provides no resistance against the crank so it will idle easier than the same cam in an A4 car).
A cam is pretty much the heart of the engine - so you need to select it with your end goals in mind unless you like swapping.
