What made you choose 62cc? Is that an amount that puts you at a desirable DCR?

No, no. It's just that you're talking about static compression ratio, but dynamic compression is what matters. That's why you mill... to get a static compression ratio that is high enough to get the desired dynamic compression with the cam you choose. I don't really know how dropping 2cc's will get you that high in compression, and I don't know how the TR224 works out in dynamic compression on that setup. You'd have to find the thread on it and do the math. I just thought that 62cc is a really odd size.

PianoProdigy had a DCR calculator on here somewhere. That way you just plug in your cam grind numbers and the rest is already there. The TR224 is an XE lobe with +4 advance, I believe.

SCR 10.9, DCR 8.7

I used a 224/224,581/.581, 112+4 cam and a GM MLS gasket (.055" thick) 62 cc chamber.

YankeeVert,How do you like that cam for a street cam? That Is the one that I am going to go with.Do you happen to know the intake closing point is on that cam.I just wanted to try this calculator myself. Its not that I don't believe you.How does setting this cam up on a 4* effect it?

The TR lobes are neither XE or XE-R. They are proprietary lobes with 50 rate variation (.006/.050), while the XEs are 53 and XE-R 49.
So more aggressive than XE and a tad less than XE-R.

hmmmm.. not to burst your bubble.. 411rwhp with your current set up? Although those are "decent" numbers for a stalled A4. I am running a G5X3, unported LS6's ( for now) full bolt on's, and a Vig3600 stall and put down 403/405 @ the wheels.

Like you i am looking @ ported heads and had the same question. I will be going with TEA's stage2 LS6's.. I'll post up the results once installed.

No disrespect intended... Your's are good numbers...TSP makes an awesome product..
