Now that I'm a 383 I was getting low 20s although when driving it last month for tuning before I stored it I didn't go for economy. My lean cruise is not turned on yet and that gives me another 10%+ bump.
Ooooooh, where would we get the flash for this baby???

It's a stalled automatic heads cam car with the aero of a brick...I think it's pretty good. If I really messed with the tune I might be able to get some more from it, but it's not a priority. In town suffers due to the hills in the area.

I daily drive my truck (not that it gets a ton better) but on lower octane. I don't drive terribly far except for random trips.

Good point on the stall issue, totally over looked that.

Totally different computer. They didn't want to do a whole new thing for the GTO for one year so the feature came over from Australia just disabled. Too many nitric oxides from running lean for the EPA. '05-'06 LS2s got a new computer.

Its looking like the mid range is 25mpg with anything above on the rarer scale and its way too easy to get worse mileage, lol.

If I find one, can I turn it on with a programmer?

Hmmmm.... "In mammals including humans, NO is an important cellular signaling molecule involved in many physiological and pathological processes.[4] It is a powerful vasodilator with a short half-life of a few seconds in the blood."

Though it has its dangers also, still sounds better than carbon monoxide. Leave it to US to not want that, lol.

Need to check Australia ebay

In areas prone to it NO is a major smog contributor. If you find an Australian one (or a wrecked '04 GTO) you can enable it although it is a more than just a check box. You have to input parameters for enabling, ranges for fueling and a bump in timing in those areas to compensate for the leanness.

Odd....... Sounded like NO wasnt that big a deal according to Google. Heh, Google, need I say more?

Hmmm, sounds like I am just reconfiguring the cell table? I have not found much on google about the "Australian tune", but, at least I have an advantage of knowing it is out there.
