But will the LS1 heads fit onto the C5R block?
I have posted elsewhere with a few questions about the C5R block. But will most of the LS1 parts interchange? Or will the whole motor need to be custom built to fit the C5R block? I already have plans for a Hogan's intake and I will not have to worry about any emissions. The computer system will be from Speed-Pro...
Any hidden things I need to know if I was to consider using the C5R block instead of a 6.0L?

do the C5R blocks have the mounting holes for things such as air conditiong, alternators, and that type of thing?

Yes, they do interchange. I am unsure about the rest of your questions, but I'd like to know myself. Perhaps MN_C5 will pop in here? I know he is running this block in his Corvette...

Yes, I have one, but have not yet been able to test it. Hopefully in the next week or two. The manifold I have is a stock style replacement, meaning it is designed for production heads. Jon Stewart is pretty confident that this is the manifold everyone has been waiting for. Too soon for me to opine on that, but I hope he's right.

From everything I've been able to find on the subject(not much either) The heads need a Kinsler(?) fuel injection manifold. The intake runners are HUGE, no low end torque but feels like a 400 shot above 5000 <img src="images/icons/wink.gif" border="0"> Valve angles revised to 11*(ls1/6 15*) and the finished head has 38cc combustion chambers I think.

Leo,
I think it costs around $3,000 for the Intake and is available from John Stewart/Nitrous Warehouse. John is local to you in Houston.

The C5R block is almost identical as far as the accesories and stuff is concerned and you can use reg heads on it as far as I know. It is much beefier and made for racing. The original was dry sump and the new one can be run with wet sump oiling.
