they dont care, im the parts guy....im INVALUABLE.....plus one of the guys used to be a chevy gearhead, he loves my car....

Your defroster will still work no matter what. It'll still blow out the vents, however, without the A/C compressor it won't operate at 100% effectiveness. By that it doesn't take the moisture out of the blown air and thusforth helping rid moisture off the windshield.
