Default Stock Valvetrain + T1 CAM = bad or good?

I'm just curious of how many have upgraded their springs with the addition of a Cam. Is it needed. I know you can keep the stock programming with the T1, i'm just not sure if Springs are needed.

And you live in houston(MTI offers a cheap CAM install every now and then) . I'll have to track down mikey or is it Bigmike?
