Default Comp retainers

What is the difference between the comp steel retainers (774-16) and the titanium retainers (772-16) for the 26918 springs. They are both made for the springs. Will the steel ones work as good as the titanium? The Titaniums are 160.00 and the steels are only 50.00.

Thanks
Albert

The titaniums are lighter and stronger less chance to deform.
Also it helps with valve train performance by lightening the load on your setup.

Any time you can lighten up your valvetrain, take advantage of it. With the steel, you are making your springs work harder, lifters are taking a little more of a beating which could all lead to high RPM instability. It is very much worth it if you ask me. <img src="images/icons/smile.gif" border="0">
