I'm in complete disbelief... I just got done at the dyno, before I dynoed at 340rwtq, 312rwhp. I added a YANK ST3500 and SLP Mass Air... visited the dyno again and pulled 298rwhp and 674rwtq. Now that can't be right at all right? the RPM chart at the bottom is wrong on the posted chart, but the car pulled similar torque/power numbers about 7 or 8 times. There was a car that dyno'ed right before me and one that dyno'ed right after me, both of them had normal numbers.... whats going on here?
On one hand I'm thinking: No way in hell. On the other hand, I'm thinking if the dyno says it repeatedly... how can it lie? I had to be putting it down right?
Anyways, here's the chart...

Can anyone make any sense of this?

LOL!!!
I was about to go into a discussion about the wonderful torque multiplying properties of a high stall torque converter, but it looks like they goofed on your dyno. You got half the rpm and twice the torque. Bwahahahahaha.
This needs to go on the Yank Website. New ST3500 with a 7.5 STR, hahaha. Have them redo the dyno, they screwed up.

If you divide the torque number in half and multiply the rpm by two, you'll probably be close.

From what I've seen, the engine probably downshifted during the dyno run.
Someone needs to invent a simple device that will force 3rd gear on auto's so they can dyno easier. IMO.

Yeah, had a discussion with another guy who knows a lot about the Dynojets and he said the same thing about the doubling the RPM and halfing the torque. Either way... the dyno *shouldn't* tell me anything about torque because it's all based on horsepower since the Dynojet has no way to measure torque except a little algorithm based on peak power and rpm.
I'm going to get straight pipes run so I can bypass my CLOGGED (to hell) cats then take it back and say "you messed up, redo it!" at least I can get some horsepower numbers then... is about 10hp loss with a ST3500 about average?
[EDIT:] In the mean time I'll just post the existing chart in the window and be like "yeah, it's only got 300 horsepower, don't mind my 674 torque." that might scare off the competition! <img src="images/icons/smile.gif" border="0">

The typical hp loss for a ST3500 is 10-12 hp, and slightly higher on 400+hp engines...on the plus side, you will gain close to 100 lb ft in torque (but still not 647). Good luck with your next round of dynos.
