For the more aggressive set-ups, things like fuel/spark maps re-curved, codes removed (misfire, O2s, EGR or AIR delete, etc), idle, fans, shift points, rev limiter, A/F mixture, injectors, some line pressure stuff for some of us auto guys, correct for gears or tire change; and there’s plenty more that I’m sure I’m not thinking of right now.
Your PCM has to be removed and re-flashed with the new info.

Ahhh. So how do you find out what specs to reflash it with? And do you have to send it in the hypertech or someone and have them do it?

Hypertech doesn’t do major tuning like that. They just have a one size fits all type program. For a H/C car you need to go to a custom programmer like Ed Wright. He uses your cam specs and head specs along with some other info and re-flashes your PCM with his custom program for your car. You send your PCM to him to have this done.

Yeah pcm tweaking helps...
Can program for...
-cold t-stat
-changes in timing and fuel maps
-changes in rev limiter
-change A4 shift points
-eliminate EGR and AIR stuff
Many good things... more than that...
