Aaron, I am not sure I completely understand the typing in your post, but i'll bite on this one.
It all depends on who is pulling the motor how long it will take. Most "shops" will drop the cradle and pull the motor from the bottom, which takes about an hour. If you pull the motor from the top, it could be a 5+ hr job.
If you are having a shop do your work, I would recommend having a performance shop who are experience with F-bodies drop your motor. They tend to be cheaper and most good shops can drop your motor without breaking a sweat.
Good luck...
Josh

It took me about an hour and a half to 2 hours. But then again, I had a hoist at my disposal. Basically what it amounted to was me removing the three bolts from the front subframe and then support it with jack stands, disconnecting brake and fuel lines, removing my shifter and trans cross member, disconnecting my exhaust, and then slowly but surely lifting the car off the subframe leaving the engine, trans and front suspension all in one piece.

Rumor has it that Mike at MORE Performance can actually drop an LS1 cradle in less than 30 minutes when his best guy is helping once.

I think dropping an engine and re-installing runs about $900
