replace the intake on 04TAHOE 5.3 Hey guys, need some help. I have an '04 Tahoe with a 5.3. I want to put the fast 90mm intake on it, but I'm not sure if it will bolt up. It is a GENIII engine so you would think that all ls1 parts would bolt up to it. I have people telling me that it's like FORD and that the parts are just barely different from the ls1 to everything else. 
This is gonna go on my patrol truck, me being a cop, cause I'm tired of taking 1.5 miles to catch someone. Let me know what ya'll know. Thanks.

The throttle body will not clear the idler pulley that is directly under the stock TB. The fast intake and LS1 or LS6 intakes set the TB lower than the truck intake. And I agree that the intake is too large for your stock motor. Get it tuned.
