Dynatech Race Headers Are On... Sounds Awesome Open Headers!!!
Can't wait to get the new y-pipe on the car and back to the track to see if I can get the car in the 11 teens or high 10s on the motor. Wish me luck!!!

Sounds awesome, really!!!! That looks like some serious *** setup you got there!!! Good luck! Where did you buy those headers?

I bought the headers directly from Dynatech. The guy who I spoke with there "Scott" was very nice and had me a set of headers in less then a week. Excellent customer service.

How is the clearance near the steering linkage? Is the fit and finish vary good. Any problems that you could share with us. The headers don't have egr or air ports right? Do you have 3 bolt collector ends for easy removal. From the picture I saw looks like strait pipe. How much did you pay and how long did it take to get to you. What size primary tube did you go with. Let us see the dyno sheet when you get around to dyno.
Thanks Darren

Damn Darren...LOL!!!!
Okay, as for any problems... there are zero problems with the headers.
There are no clearance issues, all you do is drop the front K-Frame a little to give ya some clearnace on both sides to fit the headers up in there... that was about it.
The fit and finish is excellent... they are silver ceramic coated exactly like the FLP headers (since they are the ones who make the headers for FLP) and they fit perfectly.
They have slip on/bolt on collectors where you would need to have a custom Y-Pipe made for it. That's what I'm doing. The collectors are being tig welded on where they slip rather then just having them bolted on. Also, I am having 3 bolt flanges installed at the headers, where the Y-Pipe connects to the cat-back and another one where the cat-back goes over the axle so I can unbolt everything in 15 minutes and run open headers at the track.
The Primaries are the "step type" as I think they go from 1.87" to 1.75". Pretty sure that's what it is, but the collector primary tubes where it slips on is 1.87" and the collector end is 3.5". I'm using spintech oval 3.5" exhaust tubing on the driver's side for clearnance and 3.5" round piping on the passenger side w/transitions where needed. The entire Y-Pipe will be tig welded and coated (HTC). I will take some pics when it's all done.
The cost of the long tube headers was $429.00 and the collectors cost $99.00 a piece. You get all the hardware you need (gaskets, bolts, O2 extensions for the headers, etc...) and it took less then a week to get the headers to my door. They have a fresh batch of headers coming out in the first or second week of December according to Scott, but I would call and talk directly to him.
Hope that answered all your questions...LOL

Please, i'd love some more pics/info when you get some time!

Step headers, from my basic knowledge, help keep the velocity up, as well as keeping reversion of exhaust down.

I opted for 3in collector after Dynatech,Cartek,
Billingsley all told me a 3.5in collector is TOO BIG for a 346CI.They reccommended a 3in Y pipe,Or a set of DUELS 2.5in to Duel 3in round race magnums and then to dumps but that way to loud for me.
So Mufflex is making me a 3in oval Y w/quick release.I wanna be able to drop the exhaust and run open collectors from time to time.
The Y will go to a 3.5in intermed. pipe and then to a 3.5in cutout, merge down to 3in again and I(1) 3in single round race magnum and (1) 3in tail pipe..
This will be light and flow very well closed.
Then I'll have the cutout or no exhaust option too..
Scott is correct.Dynatechs r beautiful!!!
I would get them if u dont mind making a Y.
I paid 649+S/H for the stepped design w/Collectors
from Billingsley Racing..
